Museo de Insectos / Insects Museum

En agosto visitamos el Museo de Entomología {Insectos} localizado en el Jardín Botánico de Río Piedras. Este estudio surgió de una caminata que dimos para apreciar la Naturaleza donde los chicos me expresaron su interés por los insectos. Otro día les cuento sobre esto. Fue una gira muy interesante excepto por el olor fuerte que había en el museo.

*On August, we visited the Insects Museum located at Rio Piedras' Botanical Garden. After having a nice Nature Walk with the kids, they expressed to me their interest in studying insects. I'll tell you more about this walk in the future. I have to say this was a very interesting trip except for the strong odor inside the museum.

Recuerdos de LA PAZ... / PEACE memories...

Día Internacional de la Paz 2009. Qué recuerdos! Esto era cuando estaba empezando a conocer el Método Montessori, y considerándolo para mis chicos.

International Peace Day 2009. Such memories! This is when I was starting to find out of the Montessori Method, and considering it for my kids.

Feliz Dia de la PAZ / Happy PEACE Day

Hoy celebramos con júbilo el Día Internacional de la Paz!
Nos vestimos de blanco y oramos en casa por la paz mundial y la paz en todos los hogares. Pedimos especialmente por las familias que educan en el hogar, por las madres educadoras y los niños alrededor del mundo.

Today we celebrated with joy the International Peace Day!

We all got dressed in a white shirt and prayed at home for world peace and for peace in every home in the world. We prayed also for all the homeschooling families around the world, for every single homeschooling mothers out there and all the children.

Luego celebramos en la Biblioteca Jane Stern de Dorado con nuestro grupo de apoyo Montessori en el Hogar. Tuvimos también la participación de la escuela Montessori Dorado. Fue una actividad hermosa! Cantamos la canción Montessori “Sing Peace Around the World”.
Gracias a Jeannette y Nancy (Montessori en el Hogar) y a María (Montessori Dorado) por compartir con nosotros y ayudar a organizar la actividad.

Then, we joined our homeschooling support group "Montessori en el Hogar" at the Jane Stern Dorado Library to participate in a beautiful celebration. We also invited a local school called Montessori Dorado to share this moment with us and sing the Montessori song "Sing Peace Around the World". Thanks Jeannette and Nancy (Montessori en el Hogar) and Maria (Montessori Dorado) for being there with us and organizing the activity.
