Not too long ago I took out this book from the local library to read it with Ym. I was surprised by how profound and emotional the book is. Then, I read a couple of reviews and realized that some people consider this book not appropriate for young children. In spite of all, I liked it. In addition, it gave me the opportunity to discuss deeper topics with Ym.
El libro se llama El Árbol Generoso por Shel Silverstein.
The book is called The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.
Then, we picked up some leaves and decided to make a craft to resemble what the book called “the Forest King”. Materiales we used: elastic band, leaves, stapler.
Ym really loved this craft, not because of the final product, but because he got to staple for the first time.
This is the crown we made out of leaves.
And this is MY PRINCE being mad because the crown was so uncomfortable. (As a safety precaution, the staples were revised and secured by mom before putting the crown on his head.)
Thanks for visiting!
